APPOINTMENTS TO THE BOARD

Capital Radio plc, the music based entertainment group, today announces two
new Board appointments.

Paul Davies, aged 42, joins the Board as Group Commercial Director with
responsibility for revenue generated from the company's radio stations and
Interactive Media.  He was previously Managing Director of Media Sales &
Marketing, the company's former sales house.  His new role will also involve
developing sales synergies across the Group while overseeing the new in-house
sales operation, Capital Advertising.  He has been with Capital Radio since
1982.

Peter Mitchell, aged 60, joins the Board as a Non-Executive Director.  He
recently retired from the post of Strategic Affairs Director at Guinness plc
and is a former council member of the ISBA and immediate past president of the
World Federation of Advertisers.  He is a council member of the Advertising
Standards Authority and will remain Non-Executive Chairman of Capital
Advertising.
