Excellent syllabus Jetmek. I’m very excited about their new $3,000 computer based on Blackwell technology. This has the capability to add billions to NVDA’s coffers once it is available in May. This puts NVDA right in the middle of the new PC market that enables AI without depending on the cloud. This is a gem and is being under appreciated currently.

Have a great weekend.

Jensen's comments are irrelevant. He lets the performance of the company speak for itself. NVDA has eclipsed every financial benchmark set for it, for the last several quarters. The company's revenue and cash position FAR exceed its debt.

It's likely that when the revenue from Blackwell sales is reported, people won't give a single thought that he chose not to talk about the more technical aspects of the product. They will see the sales revenue and that NVDA is still exceeding the benchmarks that the analyst group is predicting.

It is clear that while some are talking about chips that might meet or exceed the performance of Blackwell? Those products are reportedly STILL in the experimental or "R&D" phase. It will likely be a YEAR OR MORE before those products reach the production phase.

As I said, anyone that thinks the engineers at NVDA are just sitting back and relaxing are probably wrong. It's likely they are coming up with the next chip AFTER Rubin. When these other chip manufacturers finally start production on THEIR newest chips? I'll bet that NVDA announces chips that will surpass them.

What will happen in the future is anyone's guess. But NVDA has been the leader and there is really nothing to suggest that they won't continue to be the leader in the future.

There is one thing that surprised me today was the decline of Nvidia stock wasn't as severe as I thought it would be. I thought end of this week or early next week the stock would drop to mid to low 120's. However, I do see hope this may not happen. As a matter of fact this stock may stabilize at a 134-135 low and bounce off of that instead of the 125's t0 128's. Now that's my good guy speaking. On the flip side, Jensen really does need to have far better forward looking comments. By that, I mean SAM revenue numbers and potential timing. Holding on to them and hoping the surprise increase isn't the bet bet anymore. The market wants better assurances. It was Jensen who offered the big surprises but the stock will become a traditional stock with less surprise impact. If one has watched Apple, they've been one of the best examples by being steady and managing their splits, dividends, stock repurchases, and finally stock dividends.

This market drop is all interest rate driven. The strong jobs report just out signals that inflationary pressures are still out there. This puts further interest rate cuts by the Fed in doubt.

Heck, the Fed may RAISE interest rates later this year, if inflation is seen as rising quickly. If that happens? Watch out below!

Glad I sold my one share @ 140.00 and only lost $2.04 I am done with speculating/gambling. AI is going nowhere but the scrap pile of history. It was a bad dream and should never have begun in the first place. Dangerous to humanity. And the dividend of one penny per share was an insult. Lowest dividend in any stock of this price in history. That tells lots.

where there's smoke there's fire? they mention nvidia.
smoke detection and fire mitigation. robotic management of same? the water likely works better at ground level than evaporated in the hot air of the conflagration?
how can we not think there could be arsonists involved. 'we're at war with terrorists and drug cartels who kill people, a simple fire is not much effort, a lit cigarette might be adequate?
geminia ai says:
""Remote fire mitigation IP" refers to intellectual property (IP) related to technologies and methods for preventing and managing wildfires remotely. This encompasses a wide range of innovations, including:

1. Early Detection and Monitoring:

AI-powered Image Recognition: Analyzing satellite imagery, drone footage, and camera feeds to detect smoke, flames, and other signs of fire in real-time.
Sensor Networks: Deploying networks of sensors to monitor environmental conditions like temperature, humidity, and wind speed, which can indicate increased fire risk.
Acoustic Detection: Using sound sensors to detect the crackling or popping sounds of a fire.
2. Remote Intervention and Suppression:

Drone-based Firefighting: Utilizing drones to deliver fire suppressants, conduct controlled burns, or create fire breaks.
Robotics: Developing robots capable of navigating difficult terrain and performing firefighting tasks.
Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs): Deploying ground-based ROVs to access and extinguish fires in hazardous areas.
3. Predictive Modeling and Risk Assessment:

Machine Learning Algorithms: Developing algorithms that analyze historical data, weather patterns, and vegetation conditions to predict fire risk and identify high-risk areas.
Simulation and Modeling: Creating virtual models of fire behavior to understand how fires spread and develop mitigation strategies.
4. Communication and Coordination:

Real-time Data Sharing: Developing platforms for sharing real-time fire data among agencies and first responders.
Remote Command and Control: Enabling remote operation of firefighting equipment and coordination of resources.
Examples of Companies and Organizations Involved:

Tech Companies: Nvidia, IBM, Google, and other tech companies are developing AI and machine learning technologies for fire detection and prediction.
Drone Manufacturers: DJI, Parrot, and other drone manufacturers are creating specialized drones for firefighting and aerial surveillance.
Robotics Companies: Boston Dynamics and other robotics companies are developing robots for hazardous environments, including firefighting applications.
Government Agencies: The US Forest Service, NASA, and other agencies are investing in research and development of remote fire mitigation technologies.
Challenges and Opportunities:

Cost and Accessibility: Making these technologies affordable and accessible to fire departments and communities is crucial.
Data Privacy and Security: Ensuring the responsible use of data collected by these technologies is important.
Regulatory Frameworks: Developing clear regulations for the use of drones and other remote technologies in firefighting.
Remote fire mitigation IP has the potential to revolutionize wildfire prevention and management, protecting lives, property, and ecosystems. By combining advanced technology with human expertise, we can create a safer and more resilient future in the face of increasing wildfire risks."

This is the second article I've come across which feels people expect more out of Jensen in the way of reporting. https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/fund-manager-forecast-nvidia-rally-163300108.html. Here's another article to read which gives some good analogies: https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/fund-manager-forecast-nvidia-
Both articles are very good and relate to Jensen's lack of information and one has a good section on 50 day moving average and what could happen if it crosses that.

geminia ai says, "You're thinking outside the box! While the recent controversy focused on visual changes to smoke in games, the underlying technology behind Nvidia's smoke manipulation has potential applications beyond just what we see on screen. Here are some possibilities:

1. Enhanced Vision Systems for Autonomous Vehicles:

Improved Perception in Challenging Conditions: Imagine self-driving cars navigating through fog, smoke, or heavy rain. By adapting the techniques used in Freestyle, Nvidia's GPUs could potentially enhance the vehicle's vision systems, allowing it to "see" through obscurants more effectively. This could improve safety and reliability in adverse weather conditions.
2. Medical Imaging and Diagnostics:

Clearer Medical Scans: Similar principles could be applied to medical imaging. By processing and enhancing images from X-rays, CT scans, or MRIs, doctors might be able to get a clearer view of organs or tissues obscured by other structures. This could lead to more accurate diagnoses and better treatment planning.
3. Surveillance and Security:

Identifying Threats in Obscured Environments: In surveillance applications, the ability to see through smoke or fog could be invaluable. Security cameras equipped with enhanced image processing could help identify potential threats or track individuals even in challenging visibility conditions.
4. Industrial and Scientific Applications:

Remote Sensing and Monitoring: In industries like agriculture or environmental monitoring, drones or satellites equipped with similar technology could capture clearer images of areas affected by smoke from wildfires or industrial emissions. This data could be used for damage assessment, pollution tracking, and disaster response.
Robotics and Automation: Robots working in hazardous environments, such as those involving smoke or dust, could benefit from enhanced vision systems to navigate and perform tasks more effectively.
Important Considerations:

Adaptation and Refinement: The techniques used in Freestyle for gaming would need to be adapted and refined for these specific applications.
Ethical Implications: As with any technology, it's important to consider the ethical implications of using such techniques, especially in areas like surveillance and security.
While these are just a few examples, the core idea of using advanced image processing to enhance visibility in challenging conditions has broad potential across various fields. It's exciting to think about how Nvidia's technology, initially intended for gaming, could be leveraged to solve real-world problems and improve our lives."

let's say you find a antibody in nature which you think you'd like to test/use for a specific purpose.
you want to make it with synthetic dna/plasmid processes to avoid immunologic problems like those of moderna and pfizer in the covid vaccine mrna.
you use the gpus to 'visualize the sidechain configuration and other physical properties of such like em state, , oh/h, etc.
you use the quantum computation device to run thru the potentials to more quickly arrive at potential trial participants, then test them digitally in a digital twin environment and then move to cellular and animal and human testing. you can simultaneously , test for other potential effects of the molecules introduction into a cellular organism/human host?

if this could be done in seconds, not the living testing, it's going to be a boon to people everywhere and bring down the costs of med development.

Anyone looking at NVDA should look at it long term. 63 analysts give NVDA an overweight, buy or strong buy rating. Price targets are anywhere from $150 to over $200 a share.

This will go up and down. It’s a volatile stock. This last summer, it was hovering around $100/ share! Look at it now.

Buy it and watch it. Set a sell point. If it gets bad news and it decreases too much - sell.

But I don’t think there’s much danger in NVDA for the next 12 to 24 months. Buy it long term.

10 very positive articles and one negative which you state is the reason for Nividia's huge percentage decline. Well, if that's the reason, the stock should decline further. I think you've been the one that's wrong. Seems lately the only thing you've tried to do is criticize anyone who asks too many questions and still can't accept the reason 9the stock always drops and can't stay in the buy SP for ore than a few days. Do I believe the stock will go past 160, yes. Do I believe the SP will then decline again, yes. The market currently looks at Jensen's comments as hype. Otherwise the stock would be over 170 and institutions/funds would be buying back in.

BFD!

So it’s a large company with a lot of irons in the fire and substantial assets backing up its business.

Nvidia’s total debt of approximately $11 billion on its balance sheet primarily consists of long-term debt and short-term debt. This debt can typically be attributed to the following sources:

1. Corporate Bonds

Nvidia has issued debt securities, such as senior unsecured notes, to raise capital for general corporate purposes, research and development, acquisitions, or stock buybacks. These bonds are publicly traded and have fixed or variable interest rates.

2. Credit Facilities

Nvidia may have drawn on revolving credit facilities provided by banks or other financial institutions. These facilities are often used for short-term liquidity needs or operational purposes.

3. Acquisition Financing

Nvidia’s debt may partially stem from financing its major acquisitions, such as the purchase of Mellanox Technologies in 2020 (approximately $6.9 billion in cash). Acquisitions of this scale are often funded through a mix of cash, stock, and debt issuance.

4. Lease Obligations

A portion of Nvidia’s total debt could include capitalized lease liabilities, which are reported as debt under accounting standards (ASC 842/IFRS 16).

If you’re really interested in Nvidia’s debt structure, the company’s latest 10-K or 10-Q filings with the SEC would provide the most detailed information, including interest rates, maturities, and specific instruments.

140 is near the buy zone which I believe is around 145. Since June the stock hasn't been able to hold above 140. It takes longer for the stock to recover from the mid $130's and oly takes just a few days to drop it back down. Also how many good articles have come out in the last 3 days which had little yo know affect on the stock. But one article can drive the stock down 13 dollars. I read another article which explained companies look for 8 weeks in the buy zone before they jump in. If the company can
't even hold above 140 for a measly 10 days how can it expect to attract serious investors. Jensen needs to re-evaluate 'his presentations since the stock isn't going to have these huge quarterly jumps and most likely annual ones either. Everyone seems to be enamored with Jensen except; the funds and innstitutions. With all their shares outstanding, one would be willing to change what he states in his conference call;s. Try throwing inn some tangible number along with timing. He should know some of the numbers along with timing. We keep on having the same conversations but I can tell you I've been a lot closer with my doubts than you have with your assessments. Instead of looking to pick apart my posts, you should be ;looking at what's really holding this stock back and why it only takes one article to decimate the gains. I'd say a lot has to do with what Jensen never wants to mention.

With all the good stuff presented by Nvidia and the new partnerships, why has the stock dropped?

This story might explain why the sudden drop came yesterday. It might not be the whole reason for it, but I'll bet it had something to do with it.

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/nvda-dips-after-biden-doubles-down-ai-chip-export-ban-ahead-trump

With less than two weeks to go until President Trump takes over The White House - and 24 hours after he unveiled a new $20 billion major investment from Emirati billionaire Hussain Sajwani to build new data centers across the US - the Biden administration plans one additional round of restrictions on the export of AI chips from the likes of Nvidia in a final push in his effort to keep advanced technologies out of the hands of China and Russia.

Bloomberg reports, citing people familiar with the matter, that Biden wants to curb the sale of AI chips used in data centers on both a country and company basis, with the goal of concentrating AI development in friendly nations and getting businesses around the world to align with American standards

The regulations, which could be issued as soon as Friday, would create three tiers of chip trade restrictions, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the discussions are private.

Plus - the fact of the matter is that the entire tech market took a nosedive yesterday. Many of the Mag7 stocks took a hit.

This is no big deal.

And why is this sudden bar at the level of $140/share been put into place? Here just recently, you were saying you expected NVDA to be down in the $90/share range by what....March (I believe)? Now you are basically saying it should maintain a share price above $140? Where are you getting that figure? And what happens if NVDA goes to say....$130? Suddenly you'd be correct and because it slipped down to $130, it's a POS???

Well, This is the 4th day in a row in which Nvidia's stock has closed above 140. I'll still stick with my belief It can't make it 10 days in a row with a closing price above 140.
With all the good stuff presented by Nvidia and the new partnerships, why has the stock dropped? Maybe too good to be true and market isn't buying or does the market want nvidia's forward looking with numbers (which they won't get from Jensen). There is a reason for the lack of upward movement. This stock (with all the good news as to partnerships and products), why the share price has done virtually nothing but two times having a temporary short trading high and not much better off since June. There's always some excuse being thrown out there.

Huh???? They didn't "dump" NVDA! Get the story straight there Mr. Shorter.

They did sell about 12.5% of their holdings of NVDA, but they STILL have 11.5 MILLION shares of it!!!

Also, the wording of your post makes it sound like this outfit is the largest institutional holder of NVDA stock. They AREN'T...not by a long shot.

The largest institutional holder of NVDA stock is Vanguard group - with 2.14 billion shares (8.75% of NVDA OS). The next largest is Blackrock - with 1.85 billion shares.

The selling of 1.6 million shares by this outfit is barley newsworthy - not when there is approx. 24.49 BILLION shares in the Outstanding Share Base
