Borgard Named to Lead Integrys Energy Group's Regulated Subsidiaries

/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Larry T. Borgard, president and Chief
Operating Officer of Integrys Gas Group, has been named president
and COO - Utilities. In this capacity, he will also assume the
roles of president and CEO of Wisconsin Public Service and CEO of
Upper Peninsula Power Company. The appointment becomes effective

this appointment, Integrys President and CEO Charlie A. Schrock
noted that this brings all the company's regulated natural-gas and
electric utility operations under a single executive leader. This
includes those companies' supply, engineering and customer service
functions. "Larry has a unique blend of leadership experience and
operational expertise that makes him the perfect person for this
role," said Schrock. "He's well known and respected across Integrys
and within the electric and gas communities. We'll be looking to
him to bring a system-wide view of planning to our work and to
best-practice systems and processes to our operations." Borgard has
spent more than 24 years in the energy industry. He has served as
leader of the Integrys Gas Group since the company was formed in
early 2007. The gas group includes all of Integrys' regulated
natural gas businesses, including operations, gas engineering, gas
supply and customer relations. Before that, he served as president
and COO of Energy Delivery for Wisconsin Public Service and
president and CEO of Upper Peninsula Power Company. He began his
career with Wisconsin Public Service in 1984. He received a
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan
State University and a Master's degree in Business Administration
from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. He is a graduate of the
Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program. Borgard is
involved in various energy industry groups that focus on
reliability and energy policy issues. He serves on the board of
directors of the American Gas Association and the Midwest Energy
Association, is an Executive Advisor of the Metropolitan (Chicago)
Planning Council, a member of The Executives' Club of Chicago and
the Research Advisory Committee of the Gas Technology Institute, a
national research and development organization for the natural gas
