Cruise, Travel Stocks Rise After Delta 1Q Results

Travel stocks, from cruise lines to hotel chains, got a boost
after Delta Air Lines Inc. reported better-than-expected
first-quarter sales and said it expects the current quarter to be
profitable.
Shares of Delta rose 4.5% to $40.36 a share in morning trading,
propelling other airlines and travel operators higher.
Shares of Carnival Corp. and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.
both rose more than 4% while Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. stock
rose just shy of 4% in morning trading.
American Airlines Group Inc. jumped more than 9% to $18.72 a
share, while United Airlines Holdings Inc. rose almost 4%. Alaska
Air Group Inc. also rose almost 6% while Southwest Airlines Co.
traded more than 6% higher.
Marriott International Inc. traded almost 4% higher and Hyatt
Hotels Corp. rose more than 3%. Airbnb Inc. and Expedia Group Inc.
also got a boost, both rising more than 3%.
