Community Trust Bancorp, Inc. Announces Advancement of Two Officers

Community Trust Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTBI) is pleased to announce the advancement of two officers. Larry W. Jones of Ashland, Kentucky has been named the Executive Vice President/Central Kentucky Region President to replace Michael Wasson who is retiring. Mr. Jones has served as Executive Vice President/North East Region President of the Company since September 24, 2002. Prior to joining Community Trust, Mr. Jones had been in banking since 1968 primarily in Starkville, MS with banks including First American Bank and AmSouth Bank. Mr. Jones received both his undergraduate degree and MBA from Mississippi State University and is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. During his tenure as North East Region President, Mr. Jones has been an active community leader with many organizations including the Ashland Alliance, Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital and the Ashland Rotary Club.

Mr. Andrew Jones will be replacing Mr. Larry Jones as Executive Vice President/North East Region President. Andrew is a native of Ashland and has been employed by Community Trust since 1987 in various positions in the Ashland Market including, Credit Administration Manager, Loan Review, Compliance, and Retail Banking. Mr. Jones continued to advance within the company attaining his most recent position of Senior Vice President and Senior Lender of the Ashland Market which he has held since 2002. Andrew is very involved in the community having served as Past President of the Lions Club and a member of Community Leadership Development and Leadership Tri State. He is currently a member of the boards of Kings Daughters Health Foundation and the Ashland Alliance Foundation. Andrew received his BA from the University of Kentucky and his MBA from Morehead State University and is a 1997 graduate of the Louisiana State University Graduate School of Banking.
