VMS Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:VMS) (the "Company") is pleased to announce the
appointment of Dr. Mark Fedikow to the Board of Directors of VMS Ventures Inc.


Mark is a native of Windsor, Ontario where he graduated with an Honours B.Sc. in
Geology and a M.Sc. in geophysics and geochemistry. Subsequently, he received a
Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada Scholarship and
completed a Ph.D. in Exploration Geochemistry at the School of Applied Geology,
University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.


During his 30-year career, Mark has worked for a variety of junior and major
mining exploration companies and for the Manitoba Geological Survey as Chief
Geologist of the Mineral Deposits Section. In 2001, he received the Provincial
Geologists gold medal, a Canadian national award for excellence in the
geosciences. In 2002, Mark left the Manitoba Geological Survey to start his own
company (Mount Morgan Resources Ltd.). In April 2008, the Company announced that
Dr. Fedikow joined the VMS Ventures management team as Vice President of
Technical Services.


VMS Ventures CEO Rick Mark states: "In the six months since Mark has joined our
exploration team he has demonstrated his value at the technical level,
overseeing our exploration geochemical programs, and also in the areas of
logistics, planning and the execution of all of our programs. His contributions
to our broad decision making during such an intense period of our history has
made us stronger and his appointment to the Board will ensure his experience and
expertise will assist us in all phases of Company business. I applaud and
appreciate his willingness to make the commitment to help build our company."


VMS Ventures Inc. is focused primarily on acquiring, exploring and developing
copper-zinc properties in the Flin Flon-Snow Lake VMS Belt. The Company also
holds the largest land package considered prospective for nickel-copper
mineralization at Lynn Lake, which is to date Canada's third largest nickel
producing camp. The Company's project portfolio consists of the Snow Lake VMS
project, the Lynn Lake Gabbros nickel-copper project, the Nickel Belt project,
the South Bay nickel-copper-cobalt PGE property, and the Eden Lake Carbonatite
Complex, Specialty Metals property. All VMS Ventures Inc. properties are located
in the mining friendly province of Manitoba, Canada.
