KBC Advanced Technologies plc



KBC Advanced Technologies plc ("KBC") notes its recent share price rise. Further
to the announcement made on 24 April 2003 in which the Board stated that it was
undertaking a review of the strategic options available to the Company, KBC
confirms that it is in discussions with interested parties in relation to a
possible offer for the Company. The Board stresses however that these
discussions are at a very preliminary stage and there is no certainty that such
discussions will lead to an offer being made for KBC.
