Debbie Matenopoulos Injured While Shooting Segment for 'Good Day
Live' LOS ANGELES, Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Debbie Matenopoulos,
co-host of the popular news, talk and entertainment program "Good
Day Live," was injured late Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 29, while
taping a segment on firefighters for the daily nationally
syndicated program. Ms. Matenopoulos injured herself at Los Angeles
Fire Department station 11 in downtown Los Angeles, where, while
attempting to perform a training exercise, she landed incorrectly
on a landing airbag after a "practice fall" from a three-story
building. She was immediately attended to by LAFD paramedics
on-site and rushed to a nearby hospital, where Ms. Matenopoulos was
examined and observed for a possible concussion and head trauma.
She is expected to make a full recovery. "Good Day Live" co-host
Arthel Neville was also on location at the fire station and
accompanied Ms. Matenopoulos to the hospital. Ms. Neville and Ms.
Matenopoulos joined "Good Day Live" on Monday, August 30th, and
