Equity
- Ord Cap, Reserves Ordinary capital and reserves is the net assets of the company attributable to ordinary shareholders, being the value of funds raised from share issues together with all profits reinvested in the business, after the payment of dividends. This figure do not include non-equity shareholders funds.
- Prefs, Minorities Preferences and minorities is the value of any preference capital raised by the company, together with the value of minority interests in the capital and revenues of subsidiary companies not wholly owned. Minority interest or minority investment is interest of shareholders who, in the aggregate, own less than a half of the shares in a corporation. This figure includes non-equity shareholders funds.
- Insurance Funds Applicable to Insurance and Life Assurance Companies only. This is the value of the insurance funds as at the Balance Sheet date, being the capital value of the short and long term policy holders interests. This figure includes for example technical provisions, provisions for unearned premiums and claims outstanding.
