 Ten-Year US$619,000 Contract Signed for Removal of Radium from Drinking Water


The Directors of Virotec International Ltd ("Virotec") (AIM: VTI) are pleased to
announce that Virotec AquaSolve LLC ("AquaSolve") has entered into its first
contract to licence ViroFlowTM Technology, which uses the ViroFilterTM System to
treat drinking water. This system will be installed in South Carolina, USA and
is a specifically designed filter system using Virotec's Radium ProActivTM
reagent to remove Radium contamination in drinking water.

The consideration of US$619,000 will be paid over the ten-year life of the
contract, and is calculated based on the volume of well water pumped through the
ViroFilterTM System (the "System").

The contract has been won by the recently formed joint venture company,
AquaSolve which is 66.7% owned by Virotec (see below for more information on
AquaSolve).

ViroFilterTM Systems are installed at the well head and provide to water
companies the ability to reduce the level of naturally occurring Radium,
allowing them to deliver safe water to their customers and facilitating
compliance with their relevant regulatory guidelines.

The Executive Chairman, Brian Sheeran stated "Whilst this contract is for a
small volume well, we believe it is a clear demonstration of the commercial
acceptance of our System in this region. This is a widespread problem, with up
to 1,000 water wells in the southern states of the USA currently affected by
naturally occurring Radium contamination. Virotec now has the capacity to
support and service a large portion of the target market due to the construction
of its new production facility at Walterboro, South Carolina."

Mr Sheeran added "As advised to the market on 30 June 2006, at a public meeting
held in South Carolina sponsored by the Department of Heath and Environmental
Control ("DHEC"), our Technology was introduced to customers of the
Gilbert-Summit Rural Water District as the solution to their problem of
naturally occurring Radium found in their ground water.  Since this meeting,
interest in our solution has been significant and we anticipate this interest
will lead to further contracts in the short term".

Additional Information on Virotec AquaSolve LLC ("AquaSolve")

AquaSolve is a specialty water treatment company based in South Carolina, and is
66.7% owned by Virotec and 33.3% owned by CW Partners, part of the Wade Craven
Group.

AquaSolve has been licenced by Virotec to market ViroFlowTM Technology and
systems using Radium ProActivTM, Arsenic ProActivTM and ViroPhosTM reagents for
removal of Radium, Arsenic, and Phosphate, respectively, in South Carolina,
North Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia. In addition to the above, the AquaSolve
team is assisting with the development of new systems to address other
environmental problems in the region.

AquaSolve has also assisted in the Radium ProActivTM reagent being certified by
the National Sanitation Foundation ("NSF") in the USA for use in the treatment
of drinking water.
