- Appointment Supports Global Growth
Strategy and IT Operations
SQS Software Quality Systems, the world's leading specialist
in software quality, has announced the
appointment of Chris Bean as the
company's Group Technology Officer (GTO).
Within his new role, Chris will be responsible for both global
IT operations and the Group's technical research, services and
product development functions. Chris will also support the
continued growth and profitability of the software quality
specialist internationally.
Chris succeeds Bob Barlett, who
is retiring after three years in the role and more than ten years
with SQS. Dik Vos, COO at SQS,
comments: "Chris came to us nine years ago as an Associate Director
and brings a wealth of experience across different disciplines. He
will play a critical role in our expansion. Through his extensive
expertise, combined with 20+ years working in IT delivery and
business development, he has already made a significant impact on
how SQS provides its services."
Commenting on his promotion from Director to GTO, Chris
Bean said: "2012 presents an exciting year for SQS as
more clients adopt our managed services provision and our
consultancy team grows. My goal is to support the
consultancy business growth with strategic research, and innovative
service and product development to meet customers' changing
business demands. In addition, I will be streamlining our own
internal business systems, freeing consultants from unnecessary
administrative processes and ensuring that everyone is working
together as effectively as possible."
Chris joined SQS in 2003 from Accenture, where he held the
position of Delivery Consultant Manager within the financial
services markets for five years. Prior to Accenture, Chris worked
for Cap Gemini within the company's graduate programme from 1992,
holding a number of technology consultancy delivery positions for
multiple clients across a range of industries.
