SQS Software Quality Systems, the world's leading specialist in  software quality, has announced the appointment of Chris Bean as the company's Group Technology Officer (GTO).

Within his new role, Chris will be responsible for both global IT operations and the Group's technical research, services and product development functions. Chris will also support the continued growth and profitability of the software quality specialist internationally.

Chris succeeds Bob Barlett, who is retiring after three years in the role and more than ten years with SQS. Dik Vos, COO at SQS, comments: "Chris came to us nine years ago as an Associate Director and brings a wealth of experience across different disciplines. He will play a critical role in our expansion. Through his extensive expertise, combined with 20+ years working in IT delivery and business development, he has already made a significant impact on how SQS provides its services."

Chris joined SQS in 2003 from Accenture, where he held the position of Delivery Consultant Manager within the financial services markets for five years. Prior to Accenture, Chris worked for Cap Gemini within the company's graduate programme from 1992, holding a number of technology consultancy delivery positions for multiple clients across a range of industries.
