Morgan Sindall appointed to GBP3 billion West Midlands construction framework

Morgan Sindall Group plc, the construction and regeneration group, today announces that Morgan Sindall, its construction and infrastructure division, and Lovell, its affordable housing division, have together been appointed by Birmingham City Council to the Constructing West Midlands framework. Morgan Sindall and Lovell will work on projects secured through the framework under the name Community Solutions West Midlands.

Community Solutions West Midlands, along with three other contractors, has been selected on the framework lot which covers works costing over GBP500,000. The four-year framework, which has the potential to be extended to eight years, has an estimated value of GBP3 billion and is available to all public sector bodies within the West Midlands region.

This appointment follows shortly after Morgan Sindall secured positions on a number of major frameworks including a GBP750 million Network Rail framework, the GBP1 billion iESE framework, the GBP1.2 billion framework programme of upgrades and improvements for Gatwick Airport, a GBP400 million schools framework in South East Wales and the GBP500 million Smarte East Alliance construction framework.
