RVTI Rival Technologies Inc (PK)

Rival Technologies Inc. (OTCBB: RVTI) continues to move toward commercialization of its proprietary heavy oil upgrading process.

Technical due diligence has been completed by a major South American oil company. Funding has been agreed to by a related business group and is expected to commence within the coming weeks.

The agreement will include construction of a continuous feed pilot plant using TRU® technology and the oil producers' feedstock. Results from this phase would move the project forward to commercial production.

Rival has two additional oil producers in discussions for a similar arrangement as well is also taking steps to fund and build its own pilot plant. Details will be forthcoming in the next month.

Total oil resources worldwide are estimated at roughly 9 to 13 trillion barrels of which 70 per-cent are oil sands, heavy oil and bitumen. Before moving from the field to the refinery these resources will need to be upgraded and represent the prime market for Rival's technology.
