09:56 ET -- Verizon Communications Inc. is one of the most
talked about companies in the U.S. across all news items in the
last 12 hours, according to Factiva data. Verizon said Manon
Brouillette has resigned as chief executive of Verizon Consumer
Group after less than a year in the role, and Chairman and CEO Hans
Vestberg has assumed responsibility for leading the consumer group.
Verizon also said the rollout of its 5G Ultra Wideband service is a
full 13 months ahead of the original schedule, and continues to
accelerate. Verizon surpassed its goal of reaching 175 million
people covered by the end of 2022, a month ahead of schedule. Dow
