Emerson Electric Co. on Wednesday said Steve Pelch, who has served as executive vice president and chief operating officer since 2018, is leaving to pursue other opportunities.

The St. Louis technology and engineering company said Ram Krishnan, who has served as group president of final control since November 2017, succeeds Mr. Pelch as executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Mr. Krishnan joined Emerson in 1994.

Emerson also said it named Mark Bulanda executive president of its automation-solutions business. Mr. Bulanda, who had been senior vice president of planning and development, succeeds Lal Karsanbhai, who became chief executive of Emerson earlier this month when David Farr retired.
