                        Coliseum Group plc ("Coliseum")

Sports Cafe to open in Glasgow

Coliseum, the owner of The Sports Cafe chain of licensed sports entertainment
venues, announces that it is to open a Sports Cafe in Glasgow in December 2003.

Coliseum has recently completed on a 25 year lease for the new venue in
Sauchiehall Street. The building is built upon the site of a 19th century
circus and the dance floor will be built over the old circus ring.

Located in the heart of Glasgow's entertainment area, work commences next week
on the 18,000 ft2 site. The venue will have two floors, five bars, capacity for
up to 1,600 people, 16 pool tables and over 100 TV and plasma screens. The venue
will create approximately 100 jobs.

This new opening is in line with our stated strategy of rolling out The Sports
Cafe brand around the UK. There are currently three venues, in London,
Birmingham and Manchester, with additional sites already announced in Newcastle,
Cardiff, Leeds and Liverpool, all of which are being development.

We expect to announce our interim results in the second half of September 2003.

Commenting on the Glasgow development, Bill Balkou, Chief Executive of Coliseum
Group said:

"This is a prime site in Glasgow, and is an ideal location for a new Sports
Cafe. This will take Coliseum half way towards its short term goal of eight
units in the major cities of the UK."
