NASCAR Marketing Executive to Join ISC

~VanDerSnick Named VP, Chief Marketing Officer~ DAYTONA BEACH,
Fla., Feb. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- International Speedway
Corporation (NASDAQ:ISCA) (OTC:ISCB) (BULLETIN BOARD: ISCB) ("ISC")
today announced Roger VanDerSnick will become Vice President and
Chief Marketing Officer effective March 1, 2006. VanDerSnick
currently serves as NASCAR's Vice President of Marketing. Paul
Phipps, ISC's current Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer,
will become Vice President of Strategic Growth and Development.
VanDerSnick, 42, will oversee the Company's corporate and consumer
sales and marketing initiatives, as well as manage ISC's media and
licensing properties. "We are extremely pleased to have an
executive of Roger's caliber join our Company," said ISC President
Lesa France Kennedy. "Roger has spent more than 15 years in the
consumer and corporate marketing arena. His noteworthy
accomplishments and expertise will allow him to make an immediate

59, will focus on strategic growth initiatives to further extend
ISC's brands through business development, acquisitions and related

in 2000 to create and lead the brand and consumer marketing
department. Under his leadership, the department is responsible for
NASCAR brand management functions including: advertising, media
planning, brand identities, marketing/media research and
national/regional consumer marketing programs. Additionally, his
area has overall sponsorship and marketing responsibilities for the
three national series, NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series, NASCAR Busch
Series and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Prior to joining
NASCAR, VanDerSnick spent 15 years with Procter & Gamble, the
last seven of which included leading the marketing and branding
efforts of several packaged-goods brands. International Speedway
