                                Issue of Equity

CAMEC, the AIM listed fully integrated exploration, mining, trading and
investment company, announced on 22 December 2003 that it had received
undertakings from investors for #2,483,500 before expenses through the placing
of 62,087,500 new ordinary shares of 0.1p each at 4p per share and it was also
announced that the new ordinary shares would be issued in tranches. Application
was made on 22 December 2003 for 15,521,875 new ordinary shares to be admitted
to trading on AIM and the Company has today applied for the balance of
46,565,625 new ordinary shares to be admitted to trading on AIM.

In addition, a further 1,250,000 new ordinary shares have been placed by CAMEC
to investors who were ommitted from the placing announced in December 2003.

Accordingly, the Company has today applied for a further 1,250,000 new ordinary
shares to be admitted to trading on AIM of the London Stock Exchange and the new
ordinary shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares of the
Company.

It is expected that dealings in 47,815,625 new ordinary shares (being the
balance of 46,565,625 new ordinary shares to be admitted to AIM following the
placing announced on 22 December 2003 and the placing of 1,250,000 new ordinary
shares announced today) will commence on 23 January 2004.
