Thermo Fisher Chief Operating Officer Mark Stevenson to Retire

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. on Tuesday said Mark Stevenson,
executive vice president and chief operating officer, plans to
retire in March 2022.
The Waltham, Mass., life-sciences company said Michel Lagarde,
currently executive vice president, will succeed Mr. Stevenson as
chief operating officer, effective Jan. 1.
Mr. Lagarde, 47 years old, has been executive vice president
since September 2019 and joined the company in connection with its
acquisition of Patheon N.V. in August 2017.
Mr. Stevenson, who joined Thermo Fisher through the acquisition
of Life Technologies in 2014, has been executive vice president and
chief operating officer since August 2017.
