Kyndryl, which will be spun off from International Business Machine Corp.'s IT infrastructure services and become an independent public company, said Tuesday it named Michael Bradshaw as its chief information officer.

Kyndryl said Mr. Bradshaw comes to the company from NBC Universal, "where he spent nearly five years as executive vice president and CIO, leading the organization's global IT operations, and overseeing NBC Universal's tech infrastructure, applications and IT strategy."

Before that, Mr. Bradshaw served as vice president and CIO for Mission Systems and Training at Lockheed Martin, Kyndryl said.

The company also said its previously announced separation is expected to occur by the end of this year.
