Notification re Directors' dealings in shares:


Please note the following changes in directors' interests:

Mrs S E Nicholson has notified the company of a reduction in her non-beneficial
interest, as a trustee, in 236,681 ordinary shares in the company. This follows
a disposal by a trust on 31st July 2003 at a price of #1.315. This represents
1.14% of the company's ordinary share capital. Following this transaction, Mrs
Nicholson's total non-beneficial holding, as a trustee, is 199,879 ordinary
shares, representing 0.96% of the company's ordinary shares. Mrs Nicholson's
beneficial interests, and other non-beneficial interests as a discretionary
beneficiary, remain unaltered.

Mr J W P Nicholson, as a discretionary beneficiary, is also no longer interested
in the shares disposed of. Following this transaction, he remains interested as
a discretionary beneficiary in a total of 6,420,519 ordinary shares of the
company, representing 30.87% of the ordinary share capital of the company. Mr
Nicholson's beneficial interests and interests in shares under option remain
unaltered.
