RE: OFFSHORE MAURITANIA WEEKLY DRILLING UPDATE

Hardman Resources Ltd ("Hardman") provides the following weekly progress report
on the drilling and testing operations in offshore Mauritania:

Chinguetti 4-5 Appraisal and Early Development Well

At 00:00 hours on 27 October 2003 production testing operations were continuing
in the Chinguetti 4-5 combined appraisal and early development well.

Since the last report (23 October 2003) oil samples have been taken from the
well as planned and the main test flow period (to be over several days)
commenced on 23 October 2003. Initially the test choke size was increased to
112/64 inch size to ascertain the well capability to flow at higher rates.
During a 9 hour period the well achieved an average rate of 14,097 barrels oil
per day (bopd) flowing at a rate of up to 15,680 bopd plus 6.6 million standard
cubic feet of gas per day. The choke size was then reduced to 72/64 inch size
to maintain a steady production rate of approximately 11,500 bopd which is a
more suitable rate for the surface test facilities.

All reported times are UTC (also known as GMT).

Participants in the Chinguetti 4-5 well and PSC Area B are:

Woodside Mauritania Pty Ltd (Operator) 35.0%
AGIP Mauritania BV 35.0%
Hardman Resources Ltd 21.6%
Fusion Mauritania B Limited 6.0%
Roc Oil (Mauritania) Company 2.4%

                 2003 Exploration Drilling Programme

In addition to the drilling of the Chinguetti 4-5 A-EDW well, two (2)
exploration wells are to be drilled in the Woodside operated PSC Area B as
follows:

- Tiof Exploration Well: Targeting Miocene channel sandstones within
structural closure, adjacent to a salt dome and located approximately 25
kilometres north of the Chinguetti Field.

- Poune Exploration Well: An Upper Cretaceous structural closure
with a shallower Miocene channel sandstone target also to be tested by the well.

These two exploration wells are to be drilled by the Smedvig Offshore AS
drillship "West Navigator", which arrived in Mauritanian waters on 27 October
2003.
