                  European Goldfields Limited ("the Company")

                               Additional Listing

Application has today been made to the London Stock Exchange for 425,000 common
shares without par value in the Company to be admitted to trading on AIM. These
common shares are being issued following the vesting of Restricted Share Units
previously granted and announced in 2005 under the Company's Restricted Share
Unit Plan. Admission of these common shares is expected to become effective on
Tuesday 3 January 2006.
