Karen Zink Elected President and Chief Operating Officer of the
Berkshire Gas Company PITTSFIELD, Mass., April 20
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Board of Directors of The Berkshire
Gas Company, announced today the election of Karen Zink as
President and Chief Operating Officer of Berkshire Gas Company. Ms.
Zink will replace Robert M. Allessio. Mr. Allessio will remain
Chief Executive Officer and will also become Chairman of the Board.
These appointments are effective May 1, 2004. "I am looking forward
to my new responsibilities and will strive to ensure that Berkshire
Gas continues to provide the same level of quality customer service
and reliability", said Ms. Zink. Ms. Zink has worked at the company
since 1981 in several capacities, most recently serving as Vice
President and General Manager. She has a B.S. in Finance from
Central Connecticut State University and an MBA from Western New
