                           Transaction in BDH shares


Burani Designer Holding N.V. ("BDH" or the "Company") announces that it has
purchased 11,000 ordinary shares in the Company today at a price of Euro6.00 per
share for a total consideration of Euro66,000.  As a result of this purchase, the
Company currently holds 262,812 ordinary shares in treasury. The Company has
ordinary shares in issue of 75,341,004 (excluding shares held in treasury).
