                           Transaction in BDH shares

Burani Designer Holding N.V. ("BDH" or the "Company") announces that it has
purchased 150,000 ordinary shares in the Company today at a price of Euro6.20 per
share for a total consideration of Euro930,000.  As a result of this purchase, the
Company currently holds 235,212 ordinary shares in treasury. The Company has
ordinary shares in issue of 75,368,604 (excluding shares held in treasury).
