Thomas J. Menning, Chief Executive Officer for First American
Silver Corp. (OTCBB: FASV), is pleased to announce that the company
has commenced a preliminary gravity geophysical survey on its Mt.
Jackson Gold and Silver prospect.
The geophysical survey is anticipated to help delineate
additional structures and/or other features associated with known
mineralization, which then can be used to extrapolate other similar
mineralized areas on the property.
First American Silver Corp. recently optioned the Mount Jackson
property, which is located in the Walker Lane structural belt in
Nevada’s Esmeralda County. First American Silver Corp. has also
added an additional 153 lode mining claims—creating a project with
an overall size and magnitude of almost five square miles.
Additionally, First American Silver has been in contract
negotiations with drilling contractors.
Past drilling on the property has produced intercepts of up to
150 feet of 0.018 ounces per ton of gold and 0.140 ounces per ton
of silver, with a resource of approximately 42,000 ounces of gold
and 960,000 ounces of silver.
The resource calculations were previously calculated as being
hosted in Zones 1 and 2. The zones are open in three directions and
provide ample opportunity for hosting bulk minable gold and silver
mineralization.
