BioNitrogen Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Held at Initial Plant Site in
Hendry County, FL
WEST PALM BEACH, FL--(Marketwired - May 16, 2014) - BioNitrogen
Holdings Corp. (PINKSHEETS: BION), a cleantech company that
utilizes patented technology to build environmentally-friendly
plants that convert biomass into urea fertilizer, was proud to host
the Hendry County Economic Development Council, Florida State
Representatives Matt Hudson and Katie Edwards, Florida Department
of Transportation Assistant Secretary Richard Biter, and other
local dignitaries and business partners during its ribbon cutting
ceremony Wednesday at the site of the company's initial plant in
Hendry County, Florida.
"This ceremony marks the beginning of a long-term relationship
with the state of Florida and with Hendry County and the local
community," said Bryan Kornegay, Jr., President and CFO of
BioNitrogen. "We've worked very closely and behind the scenes with
local government and business leaders for many months and have
chosen this site because state and county officials, the Board of
County Commissioners, the Economic Development Council and others
have realized the substantial benefits that the plant can bring to
this area in terms of jobs and economic benefits."
"This facility is going to bring much needed jobs and growth to
Hendry County," said Gregg Gillman, President of the Hendry County
Economic Development Council. "The BioNitrogen facility is the
biggest economic development announcement for Hendry County in the
last 50 years. It represents a $300 million investment into our
County, making it the third largest successful economic development
project I've been involved with in 25 years of working in economic
development."
Gary Messer, project manager for AMEC, commented that AMEC was
proud to be part of the Hendry County project and is looking
forward to its continued progress. He gave a brief tour of the
plant using a 3-D model and explained the process from biomass
delivery through urea production and distribution. He also showed
how the plant will be developed digitally first using the 3-D model
and then built on the site.
