A Morgan Stanley (MS) real estate fund has agreed to buy the
Galeria shopping mall in St. Petersburg for about $1.1 billion, in
a transaction to be completed later this month, Bloomberg News
reported Tuesday, citing two unnamed sources.
Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund VII will acquire the mall, the
largest in St. Petersburg, from Meridian Capital CIS, a buyout firm
backed by Kazakh investors, Bloomberg reported.
A spokesman for Morgan Stanley declined comment, as did a
spokeswoman for Jones Lang LaSalle Inc. (JLL), Meridian Capital's
broker. Meridian didn't return a call for comment, Bloomberg
reported.
