Manatron Announces a Strategic Partnership With DoxTek New State
Requirement Provides Incremental Revenue Opportunity for Installed
Customer Base in Indiana KALAMAZOO, Mich., Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ --
Manatron, Inc. (NASDAQ:MANA) a leading provider of software
products and services for local governments, including the
revolutionary Government Revenue Management(TM) (GRM(TM)) software,
today announced that it has formed a strategic partnership with
DoxTek, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise-wide electronic
document solutions. This partnership will allow Manatron to deliver
imaging technology to its Indiana client base primarily related to
the electronic processing, storage and retrieval of sales
disclosure forms in compliance with State policies. Beginning
January 1, 2005, the Department of Local Government Finance (DLGF)
for the state of Indiana requires that all sales disclosure forms
be archived in an electronic repository and transferred to the
State upon request. The data on these disclosure forms is used by
the State for sales ratio and equalization studies. The document
imaging system offered by Manatron and DoxTek combines a document
scanner with text-recognition software. The scanner converts sales
disclosure forms into digital images while the software "reads" the
information contained within the images. All sales disclosure data
is directly linked with a county's CAMA data, which allows for
verification of the accuracy of the data and the elimination of
duplicate entries. In addition, the disclosure images and data
within the repository are accessible to the staff or the public and
are searchable by predefined fields, such as parcel number, name,
date and address from a desktop computer, where they may also be
printed. "Partnering with an innovative company like DoxTek allows
Manatron to cost effectively expand and improve the services we
offer to our large client base in Indiana," commented Paul
Sylvester, Manatron's Chief Executive Officer and President.
"Approximately 75 of the 92 counties in Indiana use Manatron CAMA
software and will be natural targets for this electronic scanning
solution. Branded as Manatron iDox, this new product, which
includes hardware, software, services and ongoing support will
allow our clients to save time, reduce administrative costs,
increase customer service, and most importantly, to meet the DLGF's
new requirements. We look forward to a long and mutually rewarding
relationship with DoxTek." "We are pleased with the opportunity to
partner with Manatron," said Michael Miles, Chief Executive Officer
and President of DoxTek. "Our partnership provides an excellent
technology solution for county offices to streamline their business
processes, resulting in saved time and money." About Manatron,
Inc.: Manatron, Inc. designs, develops, markets and supports a
