Strong iPhone sales boost
fourth quarter profits for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)
sending shares higher on Monday. The stock closed up 2.14% with
nearly 77 million shares traded and saw an additional 1%+ in gains
in after-hours trading.
Apple Inc. has launched the most successful iPhone debut in
history, selling over 39 million iPhones in the past three months.
The recent launch of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus has helped
boost the tech giant’s profits up 13% from one year ago.
The company released fiscal fourth quarter results on Monday after
the markets closed and reported earnings of $1.42 per share on
$42.1 billion in revenue. Wall Street analysts expected
earnings of $1.31 per share on revenue of $39.85 billion.
“With amazing innovations in our new iPhones, iPads and Macs, as
well as iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite, we are heading into the holidays
with Apple’s strongest product lineup ever," said Chief Executive
Tim Cook in a company statement.

shares more than 50% higher on Monday. The stock gained an
explosive 54.9% at the close with over 28.4 million shares
traded.

Shares of SCOK
hit as high as $4.44 on Monday after the company announced its
above-ground facility for the conversion of carbon dioxide into
clean-burning syngas has begun its operations. The new facility is
now producing and transporting syngas, a clean burning fuel, to
customers in and around the Chinese city of Pingsingshan. The
company has revealed that the new facility is currently operating
at 60% of its capacity, and is working towards full capacity of
25,000 cubic meters of syngas an hour in the next 20 days.
SinoCoking Coal and Coke Chemical Industries, Inc. operates as a
coal and coke producer in the People's Republic of China.
