Spain's telecommunications market regulator Friday lowered by
25% the prices Telefonica SA (TEF) can charge other operators to
use its network to provide broadband services.
The CMT, as the regulator is known, has cut wholesale broadband
prices three times since 2006 in an effort to stimulate competition
in the Spanish broadband market, of which Telefonica controls
55%.
