Prologis Inc.'s profit fell in the third quarter as the company logged certain losses.

The company said Tuesday its earnings decreased to $302.7 million. They were $452.1 million the comparable quarter a year earlier. The company's earnings were 40 cents a share, down from 71 cents a share.

Total other expense totaled $211.8 million for the quarter. That included net losses on early extinguishment of debt, for example. A year earlier, the company had other income of $32.6 million.

The company reported 90 cents a share in core funds from operations and said core funds from operations--not including net promote income--were 92 cents a share.

Revenue was $1.08 billion. For the comparable quarter a year ago, revenue was $942.2 million.
