("FOX") today announced it has completed the previously announced
purchase of Seattle stations KCPQ-TV FOX 13 and KZJO-TV MyNetworkTV
22 as well as Milwaukee station WITI FOX 6 from Nexstar Media
Group (Nasdaq: NXST). With this transaction, FOX Television
Stations expands its market presence to 14 of the top 15 DMAs and
adds two markets that overlap with FOX's National Football League,
Major League Baseball and college football broadcast packages.
As part of the same transaction, FOX sold its duopoly in
Charlotte, NC, WJZY-TV FOX 46 and
WMYT-TV MyNetwork 55 to Nexstar. WJZY will remain a FOX
affiliate.
