Intel Corp. said its board voted to extend the term of board
executive chairman Andy Bryant, who has served in his position
since 2012.
Intel said Mr. Bryant will be up for re-election at the annual
shareholder meeting this year and if re-elected, he will serve
until the end of that same meeting in 2019.
The company said the board's vote was "in order to ensure board
continuity and a smooth integration for new directors." The vote
for Mr. Bryant's term extension was unanimous.
Intel also elected Risa Lavizzo-Mourey to its board. Dr.
Lavizzo-Mourey is also on the boards of Hess Corp. and General
Electric and since January of this year, has been the Robert Wood
Johnson Foundation PIK Professor of Population Health and Equity at
the University of Pennsylvania, Intel said.
