Capital Radio plc announces new senior management structure
        - putting creativity at the centre of Capital FM growth strategy

Capital Radio plc today announces a new structure and senior management team
responsible for the growth and creative development of the Capital FM Network.
With a focus on improving the performance of 95.8 Capital FM in London, the two
key elements of this restructure are; operational focus on the station's growth
at Board level and a new senior creative team with clear roles and
responsibilities for product improvement and increased listener figures.

Group Operations Director, Paul Davies, who is a member of the Capital Radio plc
board and has 20 years experience in the radio industry, will be taking a
greater operational role in the running of the network's flagship station. Paul
will lead the new team charged with winning back listeners and strengthening its
leadership position in London.

Management for the Capital FM Network will now be split into two dedicated
teams, one for 95.8 Capital FM and the other for stations outside London, each
led by two of the company's most senior programmers.

Keith Pringle, the group's most experienced programmer, and one of the most
respected talents in the radio industry, will move from his current role as
Group Programme Director to take up the newly created position of Managing
Director, 95.8 Capital FM. Keith will work closely with Capital FM Network
Marketing Director Carl Lyons, leading a team focused on driving increased
listening figures.

John O'Hara is appointed as Regional Managing Director Capital FM Network, and
will be responsible for the network's market leading stations outside London. In
addition, as part of the wider restructure, Andy Johnson is appointed Head of
Group Programming and Ric Blaxill is appointed Creative Director.

As part of this restructure and in discussions with Andria Vidler, it has been
mutually agreed that Andria will step down from her position as Managing
Director, Capital FM Network and will be leaving the company.

Capital Radio plc Chief Executive David Mansfield said:

"Our mission to win back listeners to our flagship station is a significant
challenge. Not surprisingly I have given our most senior people the task.
Capital in London still enjoys commercial brand leadership and it is critical we
distance ourselves further from the competition. We have the strongest brand
name, a format that allows us to have the flexibility we need in music and
presentation and a great team of people capable of achieving success"

The company will make a further announcement about the future programming and
marketing strategy of the station in early Autumn and our plans for
breakfast in November.
