Domestic market share in October was 51.8% SAO PAULO, Brazil, Nov. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TAM (NYSE: TAM; BOVESPA: TAMM4) announces operating data for October 2008, as disclosed by the Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) today. (Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20080221/SPTH002LOGO ) According to ANAC, TAM registered 7.3% growth in domestic RPK (demand) compared to the same period last year, and 15.8% increase in domestic ASK (supply). In October, market demand decreased 3.9% and market supply increased 8.3%. TAM registered domestic market share (RPK) of 51.8%, a 5.4 p.p. increase compared to the same period in 2007. TAM's domestic load factor was 64.7%, 3.1 p.p. higher than the market average of 61.6%. In the international market, TAM registered 35.2% growth in RPK and 26.3% in ASK, compared to October 2007. The company attained market share of 83.8%, representing 12.6 p.p. growth year on year. TAM attained 77.8% load factor, 4.9 p.p. higher than the market average of 72.9%.
