Ted Baker plc ("the Company") announces that on 6 April 2006 it purchased
150,000 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 495 pence per share to be
held in treasury.

The Company now holds a total of 298,028 treasury shares.

The total number of shares in issue is 42,989,801 and the total number of shares
in issue excluding treasury shares is 42,691,773.
