Announcement of Asian and Middle East licences

Ted Baker plc, the British designer brand, is pleased to announce today that it
has signed its second Asian territorial licence and a Middle East licence. The
licences with RSH Limited, a company listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange,
will cover retail distribution of the Ted Baker brand in Singapore, Malaysia,
Thailand, Indonesia, UAE, Saudi Arabi, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Lebanon.

RSH is a leading marketeer, distributor and retailer of sports and fashion
brands across Asia and the Middle East, operating 390 stores and 480
shop-in-shops in 11 countries. The agreements with RSH Limited are subject to
minimum guarantees and minimum store opening targets. The licences will run for
six years to 31 December 2011 with a possible renewal for a further 5 years
subject to specific performance criteria.

The licences are in line with Ted Baker's strategy of developing its presence in
Asia and the Middle East in conjunction with key territorial partners. The new
licences will complement the first Asian territorial licence with Li & Fung,
announced in October 2005. Li & Fung's licence covers retail and wholesale
distribution in Hong Kong, Macau, China, Taiwan and South Korea.

Dallas store opening

On 11 November 2005, Ted Baker opened a new 3,500ft2 store in Dallas as part of
the greatly anticipated expansion of the exclusive North Park Center. The store
is the latest step in Ted's growth within the United States, with seven Ted
stores now trading, situated in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco,
San Jose, Miami and Dallas.

Commenting, Ray Kelvin, Chief Executive, said: "I am delighted to announce that
we have signed our second territorial licence in Asia and a licence for the
Middle East. Although the financial impact of the agreements will not be
material in the short term, this represents yet another step in our long-term
strategy to develop Ted Baker as a global brand.

Although it is early days, we are also very encouraged by the positive reaction
from customers to our new store in Dallas. The store is stunning and as always
reflects Ted's unique personality."

Notes to Editors

About Ted Baker:

'No Ordinary Designer Label...' Ted Baker has steadily grown from a single shirt
specialist store in Glasgow, to an international brand that distributes through
retail showcases, leading department stores and key independents in, Europe,
USA, Canada and Australasia. In 2006 distribution will extend to the Middle East
and Asia.

Using three distinct channels of distribution: retail, wholesale and licensing
allows Ted to pursue a policy of careful brand management and growth by
extending the breadth of the collections, controlling distribution channels and
developing our presence within key markets especially the United States.

Ted's collections include three men's ranges; Global, that consists of limited
edition opulent pieces, Endurance, a fusion of traditional tailoring with 21st
century technology and high performance fabrics and Men's Mainline which is a
combined collection of laid back denim pieces, casual shirts and contemporary
suiting. His Womenswear collection includes tailoring, silk jerseys,
directional knitwear, sophisticated dresses, and appliqued denim pieces; both
the men's and women's offer is complimented by their individual accessory
collections. The Babywear and Childrenswear ranges are aptly named Teddy Boy,
Teddy Girl, Teddy Baby and are treated as 'small cuts dressed by Ted.'
Fragrances, Footwear, Eyewear, Watches and Intimates are designed by Ted and
distributed through licencees.

Renowned for the brand's quirky sense of humour and attention to detail, Ted
Baker has always had a very clear unswerving focus on quality. Creating
collections that appeal to a broad range of style conscious men and women
looking for that certain something a little out of the ordinary.
