Ted Baker plc ("the Company") announces that on 17th October 2005 it
purchased 760,000 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 410 pence per
share to be held in treasury.


These are the only shares held by the Company in treasury.


The total number of shares in issue is 42,989,801 and the total number of shares
in issue excluding treasury shares is 42,229,801.
