PREMIER HIGH INCOME TRUST PLC

The Company was informed today by Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited that as a
result of the termination of the investment management agreement with Jove
Investment Trust PLC on 7 November 2002, Aberdeen's interest in the shares of
the Company has reduced by 2,100,000.

The total number of shares now managed by Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited and
its associated companies is nil, representing 0.00% of the issued class of
capital.
