Director's Dealings Notification

Pacific Alliance Asia Opportunity Fund Limited ("PAX" or the "Company") (AIM: PAX), the closed-end investment company admitted to trading on AIM, has been notified that Ironsides Partners Opportunity Master Fund L.P. ("Ironsides Master Fund") has entered into the following Long Contracts for Difference in respect of PAX's ordinary shares:

1. 500,000 ordinary shares at a price of US$1.26 per share on 14 December 2012. The maturity date is 14 August 2017.

2. 500,000 ordinary shares at a price of US$1.26 per share on 17 December 2012. The maturity date is 10 February 2014.

The investment manager of Ironsides Partners Master Fund is Ironsides Partners LLC, the President of which is Mr. Robert Knapp, a director of the Company.

As a result of the transaction, Mr. Knapp is indirectly interested in 1,878,609 of the Company's Ordinary Shares which represents 1.65 per cent. of the Company's total voting rights. For more information, please contact:
