B SHARE ELECTIONS

On 17 August 2007, the Board of Luminar plc ("Luminar") announced a return of
value of approximately #41 million to shareholders by way of an issue of B
Shares via a Court approved scheme of arrangement (the "Return").

Shareholders were given two choices as to how to receive their Return:

  * B Share Dividend (income) - a single dividend of 60.2 pence per B share; or
  * B Share Redemption (capital) - immediate 60.2 pence redemption per B
    share.

The Board of Luminar Group Holdings plc today announces that shareholders
holding in aggregate:

  * 20,381,026 B Shares (representing 30.1 % of the total number of B shares
    issued) have chosen to receive the B Share Dividend and accordingly
    20,381,026  B shares were reclassified as Deferred Shares today; and

  * 47,355,659 B Shares (representing 69.9 % of the total number of B Shares
    issued) have chosen, or are deemed to have chosen, to have their B Shares
    redeemed and accordingly 47,355,659 B shares were redeemed today.

Payment of the B Share Dividend will be made to shareholders' bank accounts in
accordance with existing dividend payment instructions, or if no such
instructions are held, by cheque and, in either case by 31 October 2007.
Payments in respect of B Shares redeemed today will be sent to these
shareholders, or their CREST accounts will be credited with the proceeds, in
either case, by 31 October 2007.



Defined terms used in this announcement have the same meanings as in the scheme
circular posted to Luminar shareholders on 4 September 2007.
