Trading Update
HipCricket (AIM: HIP), a pioneering mobile marketing company, intends to expand internationally beginning with a strategic partnership in
Mexico that will bring the first comprehensive mobile marketing solutions to that country's broadcast stations and brands. HipCricket has
signed a memorandum of understanding with prominent Mexican investors Pablo Peralta and Enrique Lopez Negrete, leaders in the Mexican
telecommunications, broadcast and media sectors. Both have served as senior executives at IUSACOM Networks, a telecommunications entity
within the Grupo IUSA family of companies. Grupo IUSA is one of Mexico's largest industrial conglomerates.
The newly-formed partnership is expected to produce measurable, ROI-driven programs for Mexican broadcasters and brands seeking to reach
Mexican consumers. There are 67.8 million mobile subscribers in Mexico with growth of more than 19 percent in 2007, according to Paul
Budde Communication Pty Ltd.
HipCricket intends to expand into other Latin American countries. Mobile penetration in Latin America is six times computer penetration,
according to the Mobile Marketing Association.
As noted in its Interim Results issued 29 September 2008, the Company is operating in a difficult economic environment with lower
spending in mobile than forecast. Despite the broader market turmoil, HipCricket is pleased to announce that it now has 333 stations under
contract, a 188% increase since the year ended 2007. More than 90 of these stations are part of the Hispanic network announced earlier this
year and represent access to 14 of the top 15 largest Hispanic markets in the US. Whilst minimal, and certainly affected by the uncertainty
in the broader economic environment, HipCricket generated its first revenues from this network in July of this year. The Company expects
both the Hispanic network and the anticipated strategic partnership noted above to generate meaningful revenues in 2009.
HipCricket continues to aggressively pursue its award-winning business model capturing and monetizing new activity in the Brand,
Broadcast and Hispanic verticals. In the third quarter, the Company generated $1.3 million in revenue and a net loss of $2.5 million
(unaudited). The global market conditions and the difficulties in the advertising market in particular are delaying the Company from reaping
the benefit of the systems it has already put in place and the roll out of its business model. As a result, revenues and profits are lagging
behind the Board of Directors' expectations and the Company will not be profitable for the financial year ending 31 December 2008. As at 30
September 2008, the Company had $10.8 million in cash.

mobile marketing by global analyst firm Frost & Sullivan. While we are obviously disappointed that, as a result of the global economic
climate, the build-up of revenue has not been as we anticipated, we are very pleased that HipCricket's model is evolving successfully, as
evidenced by our growth and position in the US market. It is also gratifying to see our US Hispanic Network generate an exciting new
business opportunity in Mexico and Latin America."
