DIRECTORS'/PDMR INTERESTS IN SHARES 
 
 
 
 
 
 
1.On 30 March 2009 Mr M Harris and another Harris family member purchased 
jointly 25,000 Carpetright shares, at a price of GBP3.98, from a company within 
the Harris Ventures Group. 
 
 
2.    The beneficial shareholdings for Lord Harris and Mr M Harris are now 
12,749,299 shares (18.97%) and 3,939,786 shares (5.86%), respectively.  Overall, 
the Harris family interests remain unchanged. 
 
 
3.The Company has also received notice from Lord Harris and from Mr M Harris 
that, as at 30 March 2009, the number of shares over which security has been 
granted by the Harris Ventures Group (as announced on 23 January 2009) has
