On 28 December 2006, 100,000 Carpetright shares were donated by Harris Ventures
Ltd to The Philip and Pauline Harris Charitable Trust, thereby reducing Lord
Harris's beneficial interest to 15,874,623 shares (23.37%) and increasing his
non-beneficial interest to 240,014 shares (0.35%).
