DIRECTORS'/PDMR INTERESTS IN SHARES

We are advised today that, on 12 August 2005, 1,417 shares were allocated 
at #9.37 under the Company's All Employee Share Ownership Plan which 
total included 13 shares for each of Lord Harris, Mr J Kitching and 
Mr C Sollesse and 14 for Mr M Harris.

Also included in the purchase were 13 shares purchased for Mrs Caroline
Sollesse. Shares purchased for Mrs Sollesse form part of Mr Sollesse's
beneficial interest, below.

The beneficial shareholdings for these directors are now:

M Harris                           856,406                (1.26%)
J Kitching                         670,849                (0.99%)
C Sollesse                          17,243                (0.03%)

AESOP shares were also purchased for Persons Discharging Managerial
Responsibilities, as follows:
