            FORMATION OF BOAT DISTRIBUTION DIVISION

Clipper Ventures PLC ("Clipper"), the branded yachting events
and activities company quoted on AIM, has formed a new
operating division to distribute boats, complementing its
existing activities.

An agreement has been signed with Gemini Inflatables Pty
("Gemini") of Cape Town, South Africa, a leading manufacturer
of rigid inflatable boats ("RIBs") and other inflatable craft,
for the exclusive marketing, importing and distribution of
Gemini products in the United Kingdom excluding Northern
Ireland.

A long-established manufacturer of RIBs, Gemini produces a
broad range of standard and bespoke craft which are sold world-
wide into leisure, rescue and military markets. In
particular, Gemini craft have been used as standard for many
years by the South African marine search and rescue
organisation, the National Sea Rescue Institute, the
equivalent to the UKs Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

The Boat Distribution Division will be based at Clippers
Southampton offices which also accommodate the Corporate
Sailing Division. In addition to sales and distribution of
inflatable craft, Clipper also plans to include RIBs within
its overall corporate sailing package, offering combined sail
and power events from corporate days to dedicated RIB
powerboat racing events.

Managing Director, William Ward stated :

"We are delighted to have obtained the UK distributorship for
Gemini RIBs. This new division takes Clipper into a rapidly
growing part of the leisure marine market and also helps
broaden our revenue base, making the business less reliant on
major events."

in October 1998 and finished in August 1999. The next round-
the-world race, The Times Clipper 2000 starts from Portsmouth
in October 2000. The Corporate Sailing Division commenced
operations earlier in 1999 and offers corporate charters,
racing and training services. The Boat Distribution Division
become Clippers third operating division.
