                                 BOARD CHANGE

Julia Payne has decided to step down from the board of Clipper Ventures plc
with immediate effect and from her  executive duties with the company as from
15 December 2000.

Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, Chairman, stated : "We would like to thank Julia for
her enormous contribution to the development of Clipper Ventures.  We wish her
well for the future."
