Creative Education Corporation PLC ("CEC"), the provider of childcare and
nursery facilities, announces that, as a result of a recent issue of new shares
for cash by Academy Childcare Group PLC ("Academy"), CEC has now increased its
stake in Academy from 18.5% to 29.9% of Academy's current issued share capital
at a cost of #259,740.



CEC will operate 16 nurseries with 608 places following the recently announced
acquisition of Happy House Day Nurseries which is due to complete in October
2004 whilst Academy operates 14 nurseries with 1075 places.
